Daniela Moebius, Registered Architect, LEED AP

 

 

Architect, Envelope Analyst, Energy Consultant & Construction Manager with 16+ years of experience in a broad variety of design projects including residential, institutional, municipal, and commercial buildings with corresponding site plans and master plans. Residential projects range from high-end custom homes to affordable housing, all with a focus on energy efficiency.

As Project Manager for Coastal Environmental Group, Daniela managed a team of engineers, contractors, and commissioning agents to reduce annual energy consumption through a targeted retro-commissioning of eight barracks on the New London Submarine Base, NAVFAC. She oversaw scheduling, budgeting, bidding and contract administration, progress reports, record keeping, safety regulations, quality control, and providing support to on-site staff. She filled the role of Quality Control Manager, Construction Manager, and Alternate Site Superintendent as needed. She coordinated closely with the client to ensure contract compliance and satisfaction and proactively navigated strict NAVFAC protocol and security measures.

 

As an associate and project manager at Lassel Architects PA, South Berwick, ME, Daniela led a wide range of commercial, residential and planning projects from design concept through construction. Responsible for project management, managing client relationships, design, consultant coordination, and construction administration. Provided detailed 2D & 3D CAD design and presentation drawings as well as construction documentation.

Initiated branch within the company to provide diversified energy efficiency building design services to clients. Spearheaded all energy auditing, envelope analysis, and excel based energy modeling. Responsible for research, detailing and integration of energy efficiency measures into each project, as well as staff education on energy-efficient buildings.

  • Rice Public Library in Kittery, ME. Site planning, feasibility studies, community outreach, and presentations, schematic design. 20,000 SF facility to be integrated with the adjacent community center.

  • York Hospital Medical Office Building in Kittery, ME. Three-story 32,000 SF medical office building housing Walk-in Care, Outpatient Laboratory Testing, X-ray services, and Kittery Family Practice. Energy Star Rating of 91 (Energy Performance Ratings score 1 to 100, 100 being the optimal score.) An energy reduction of 59% compared to a median building was achieved, avoiding approximately $57,000 annually in energy costs.

 

Energy Auditing Reports and Energy Retrofits:

  • NAVFAC: New London Submarine Base – Retrocommissioning Report and Construction Repairs in New London, Connecticut; Prepared initial report with Coastal Environmental Group & VS Energy; 15 Buildings on the NLON SUBASE were analyzed to target avoiding more than 24,000 MMBTU of energy annually.
